Frank Tang undertook a residency at the Akiyoshidai International Art Village in Japan in early 2025, during which he frequently visited Akiyoshidai to meditate or entered the Akiyoshido Cave to sketch, documenting this land. Frank extended his research theme of ‘monuments’ into the realm of ‘natural monuments’, attempting to recreate the landscapes and sensations of that time.
